Blog 3

Hello again, this is Erik of the North.
Nothing new to really talk about this week. I have just been farming and and trying my hand at wood carving in my spare time. I must say I've gotten pretty good at carving really cool serpents into boards. My father showed me a few tricks that really helped. Specifically, he showed me the proper way to sharpen a knife; that has made carving a lot easier. Lately I have been thinking about finding a suitable wife and trying my hand at farming my own land. I will soon travel into Ribe and begin looking for candidates. Although, I feel like I may have better luck looking in the farming communities. Besides, these families are more respectable than the seasonal merchants who don't own land. Also, a wife from a farming family will probably be awesome at weaving clothes. So I will keep my eyes peeled and hopefully a good wife will be found. I feel confidant that I will be approved by her father because my family is very honorable and has a decent amount of land and animals. Next time I go into Ribe I'm going to head down to the harbor and check out some of the new ships. Some day I will own one; hopefully I can do some traveling then.

Keep in mind that the families really have the last say in any match.

So you have the ships as well as the trade centers covered in this posting, but then the next posting jumps ahead to the lecture on the raids. Make sure you don't combine, because it makes it much harder to keep track of your incorporation of topics.
